We purchased Ascendent in the fall of 2024 when he was a 3 year old. A long, tall, wide, big-boned buck with a nice strong head, he is related to several other bucks whose genetics have been used in the herd: *B Wingwood Farm Lucky Tyee, *B Wingwood Farm T Big and Rich, and *B Wingwood Farm ARA Truckin East. (sire of CH LIttle Cove TE Magic Matrix and Little Cove Tennessee Titan). We thank Karen Smith for telling us about Ascendent and for sharing the photo of his only daughter that she has freshened at Wingwood: Wingwood Farm Rise Amarilla 1-0? (FF) 88 EVVV. Ascendent was sold and transported from California to a breeder six hours away from us in South Carolina when he was a yearling. We are so excited to give him a new home in Tennessee, where he can be used to linebreed with some of our does and be used as an outcross for others.
Ascendent's paternal brother, D'Artagnan, a 2023 Spotlight Sale buck, sold for $10,000. A paternal sister, Wingwood Farm Ara Aubrieta, was 2nd place yearling milker at the 2024 Nationals and sold for $14,100 in the Colorama sale. He has several other exceptional paternal sisters, too: GCH Wingwood Farm Ara Avocet 3-05 91 EEEE (3rd at 2023 National Show; 7th 2024 National Show); Wingwood Farm Ara Annie 2-05 90 VEEE (4th 2023 National Show; 3rd 2024 National Show); Wingwood Farm Ara Tyne 2-06 89 EEVV (10th place at 2024 National Show), and Wingwood Farm Ara Amulet (5th place/3rd udder yearling at 2024 Nationals; owned by TC Sox). Being a daughter of Candyman, his dam has many champion paternal sisters including the 2024 ADGA National Champion, SGCH Wingwood Farm Sweet Avril 94 EEEE.
