We want to thank Ana Nicole Norris for loaning us Lieutenant, a buck linebred on our foundation doe GCH Briarknoll Piejar's McCayla, for part of the fall breeding season. He only sired 3 doe kids for us in 2023, but when two of them freshened as yearlings, we really wished we had more daughters. Both daughters that kidded had impressive udders in fore udder extension, rear udder arch, and teat size. Only one of his daughters was in milk at our appraisal in July, and she appraised "E" in udder at 1-02. He quickly proved himself to be an udder buck.
His sire, Coby, was out of our first doe to appraise 92 EEEE (back in 2000) SGCH Foxwood McCayla's 3M Copy. Copy is a paternal half sister to one of the best udder bucks we've bred, Foxwood McCaylan's Majik Man. Majik Man sired 10 champion daughters and had an 11 daughter LA average of 88.8. Majik Man also sired another exceptional udder buck that we used heavily for several years, Cobble's Valley Majik Jock (11 champion daughters; 12 daughter LA average 87.6).
We also owned one Coby daughter, SGCH Evergreen Pines Emceega, 7-02 91 EEEE. Emceega produced two champion daughters for the Deep Creek herd and is the foundation of our "E" line.
